Sofia Car Motorsport and Ivan Vlachkov with second position in Holland

Another success for Bulgaria and Sofia Car Motorsport took Ivan Vlachkov with Sin R1 GT4 in the fifth round of European GT4 series at Zandvoort, Holland.
In the first race from the round Vlachkov had third position in the final ranking in AM class. In the beginning Sin R1 GT4 started very well but didn’t manage to overtake the car in front of him – Alain GRAND / Didier MOUREU (Ginetta G55 GT4) due to equal opportunities of both. After decision of the team to shorten maximum the time in the box so to be able to take the lead in front of his opponent, SIN R1 GT4 left the box before him but 0.6 tens earlier than permitted. This lead to a penalty Stop&Go, when the car passes through the box stops and then goes again. After that the Bulgarian pilot lost 30 seconds and finished on 4th position and 3rd in the final ranking, due to a penalty for the former pilot of Sofia Car Motorsport Eduard Anton with KTMX -BOW GT4. Anton also had a Stop&Go penalty but he didn’t execute the penalty and was disqualified from the race.
In the second race Vlachkov managed to overtake Alain GRAND / Didier MOUREU (Ginetta G55 GT4) и Giuseppe GHEZZI / Manuele MENGOZZI (Porsche 911(997) GT4), but didn’t have enough laps to make it with Romy DALL’ANTONIA (Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4). Due to burning of a car on the track Nyls STIEVENART /Soheil AYARI (Ginetta G55 GT4), the other cars stayed in the box for 20 minutes and so was shortened the overall time of the race. Ivan Vlachkov finished on 0.2 tens behind Romy DALL’ANTONIA (Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4) with second position in the final ranking.
The next race and season finale will be at the legendary track Nurburgring on 16-17th of September.
